What and Who the Alumni of the Undergraduate of Communication Science are

The Alumni of the Communication Science are the elements of the society who have completed the higher education as the Bachelor of the Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip. They are part of our extended family who have a very close relationship with the Department of Communication Science, Universitas Diponegoro. The alumni are those who graduate with a bachelor’s degree in the Communication Science, namely S.I.Kom. The alumni are also those who have made significant contributions to the Department of Communication Sciences, who have studied at the undergraduate of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UNDIP, and those who come from abroad to study in degree and non-degree study programs.

“Studying at the Department of Communication Science Undip was a valueable experience for me. I could meet the lecturers who are very communicative and could be invited to discuss about the lectures. One of the reasons that made the lecturers and students close was that the students might call them by the greetings “Mas” and “Mbak”. Besides, the campus also often invited the communication practitioners to share the knowledge with the students. This was important to provide an overview for the students as the preparation for entering the world of the work.”

“I was Interested to join the Communication Science UNDIP after I coincidentally took part in the SCTV Goes to Campus roadshow when I was in high school, which sparked my curiosity in the field of journalism and Television content production. Apart from having a very competent curriculum and instructors, the Department of Communication Science Undip was also able to foster the students through various associations activities related to the world of the work. Especially, the activities in the fields of strategic communication and journalism. Apart from getting a salary, the most memorable experience during the internship program at the college was being able to meet face to face and build networks with the well-known practitioners in the communication industry. The understanding of the communication science could be applied in a wider aspect. Either in personal or professional terms, as well as in the government, private, and entrepreneurial sectors. The Communication Science UNDIP’s  lecturers are fun, resourceful, helpful, and could make the teaching and learning atmosphere very comfortable, both inside and outside the lecture hall. “

“Entering the Communication Science Undip had turned out to be the entry point of all things. I realized that a lot of knowledge was very useful when I graduated, especially in the creative world. Starting from the curriculum, assignments and also the environment which was very conducive, as well as the lecturers who made the teaching and learning process at the Communication Science Undip was memorable. The lecturers who were fun made our communication process run smoothly, they also gave us the access to a more challenging outside world, not just the theory. That’s what was needed in the present. ”
