Semarang, Indonesia <\/strong>\u2014 The Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) Awardees of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST\/Taiwan Tech) proudly present \u201cCulturizz of Indonesia,\u201d an immersive cultural exhibition designed to promote Indonesia’s vibrant heritage. \u201cCulturizz: A Story From Indonesia, A Home for Everyone\u201d is here to be a home for all, uniting people from diverse backgrounds through inspiring stories and Indonesia’s remarkable cultural heritage. The event took place at the Taiwan Tech Gallery, International Building, on October 14, 2024.<\/p>\n

Event Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Culturizz of Indonesia features a diverse range of traditional Indonesian activities, including a captivating fashion show, interactive games, and authentic culinary experiences. Guests have the unique opportunity to explore Indonesia’s cultural richness through an interactive experience that includes traditional Indonesian clothing fashion show, games like Bola Bekel and Lato-lato, and various flavorful Indonesian dishes including Tumpeng Ceremony. The event aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and encourage collaboration among local Taiwanese residents, international students, and the Indonesian student community.<\/p>\n

Event Purpose and Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

The primary goal of this event is to create a lively atmosphere of cultural exchange. By bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds, “Culturizz of Indonesia” aims to deepen mutual appreciation towards national heritage and foster a spirit of inclusion. This cultural celebration provides a platform for meaningful interaction and learning, showcasing Indonesia\u2019s rich traditions through fashion, games, and food, and making these traditions accessible to a wider audience.<\/p>\n

“I just arrived at the event and tasted the food\u2014it was really good! I also tried lato-lato<\/em>, which was fun. The food wasn\u2019t too spicy for me, although I didn’t try some of the dishes since I\u2019m vegetarian. But overall, it was delicious!\u201d<\/p>\n

“The food was great, and the sambal reminded me of Indian cuisine with its spiciness. I especially enjoyed the spoon and marble game\u2014it was tricky but really fun. The fashion show was also a highlight for me. It was fascinating to see the different fabrics and colors representing various regions of Indonesia. It really gave me insight into the diversity of Indonesian culture.”<\/p>\n

Expected Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event is expected to enhance the cultural understanding of Indonesian traditions among participants, promote cross-cultural collaboration, and provide a memorable experience for all attendees. It is also hoped that through the exhibition, international students and local residents will be inspired to engage further with Indonesia’s unique cultural landscape.
