Semarang – Creative Idea Fest (CIF) is one of the programs of Commweek which is held by Communication Science students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip for approximately three months, starting from September to November 2020. This year’s CIF was held online with the theme Escape Room 2020 Running to Find the Answer.

The series of CIF events consist of online classes and competitions in the field of Communication, such as Opinion Writing, Creative Advertising, and PR Campaign. The highlight of the CIF event was filled with online classes with the theme Pursuit Ikigai: Living a Wholesome Life for Mankind with Gita Savitri which took place on Sunday (8/11).

Different from the previous year, CIF which was supposed to be held offline had to be held online considering the unlikely pandemic situation. The head of the CIF committee, Aulia Rahma Fadilla, said that preparations for CIF had been carried out since 2019 and had been designed to be carried out offline.

“The preparation itself will take almost a year. So, after the 2019 Commweek is over, we will have a short pause and then immediately start preparing for Commweek 2020. After that, we will go straight until Commweek 2020 is over, “said Aulia.

Aulia also admitted that changing the design from offline to online was not too difficult because the CIF event format made it possible to be held online.

“Indeed, there are several things that need to be modified or tricked so that they can be run online. The challenge is certain because CIF is a new event and must immediately adjust to the pandemic, ”said Aulia.

The purpose of the CIF event itself is to become a forum for students to channel their ideas.

“CIF aims to be a forum for students throughout Indonesia, especially Communication Science students, to channel their ideas with a creative and communication approach,” explained Aulia.

Following CIF’s goals, the target audience is students throughout Indonesia, especially Undip Communication Science students because this event is organized by Undip Communication Science students.

“The target audience itself is directly targeting students throughout Indonesia, especially Ilkom students, considering that this event is online and indeed we want to immediately create an event on a national scale. But it came back again because this event was organized by Ilkom Undip itself, so yes, the target audience is mainly Ilkom Undip children, “explained Aulia.

With the success of the series of CIF events this year, Aulia as the head of the 2020 CIF committee hopes that the Commweek and CIF can be even more successful in the future and can benefit many people.

“Hopefully, Commweek and CIF can be even bigger in scale, more successful, and also beneficial for everyone,” concluded Aulia.
