Semarang – Komusikasi is one of the Commweek’s agenda. Events related to musical performances are held annually by HMD Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip. Even though this time we couldn’t make a show on a big stage like in previous years, Communication still went well online.

This year, Komusikasi held a national singing competition by holding 3 judges; Anggardha Tri as a vocal trainer of Orange Choir, Brigitta Dyah Utami as a singer and vocal instructor, and Tarapti as a vocalist of the band Svmmerdose. This event lasts for one month from the preliminary round to the final which will be held on Sunday (11/20) via live Instagram @ commweek2020.

“The theme of this year’s Komusikasi is festival experience with the tagline Rejoicing The Extraordinaire. This means a chapter where we can express ourselves freely without thinking about people’s expectations of us and it is also a celebration of ourselves with our uniqueness, “said Amrina Rosyada, as the 2020 Committee for Communications.

Because previously it was always held offline, but this year those that were online also encountered obstacles. Even though there were many obstacles such as difficulty in communicating and planning concepts, according to Amrina, the problem she felt the most was when the participants suddenly canceled participating in the competition. This is because this competition is free of charge. Even so, the committee is still enthusiastic about holding this event despite the pandemic.

“My hope is for future communication, whatever happens, next year and the following years, and whatever the conditions are, I hope Komusikasi and Commweek can continue to do their best to leave a positive impact,” concluded Amrina.
