Semarang, September 23, 2025 – Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi (HMPS) Communication Science at Diponegoro University, through the Department of Research and Achievement, successfully held the Research School program as part of the research cadre development for new students of the 2025 cohort. This activity took place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the PKM Hall, Building D, FISIP UNDIP, carrying the theme “Communication, Creativity, Competition: Research Synergy for Achievement.”

Research School was held to introduce and broaden the knowledge of new students regarding the four pillars of research, namely the Science & Technology Pillar, the Research & Innovation Pillar, the Language & Literacy Pillar, and the Scientific Writing Pillar. Through this activity, new students are expected to build awareness of the importance of research from an early stage and be motivated to participate in various academic competitions.

Several speakers were presented according to their respective fields. Febri Hariadi and Atilla Radja Satria delivered material on the Research & Innovation Pillar regarding the Student Creativity Program (PKM), Ilham Akbar Ady delivered material on the Language & Literacy Pillar regarding debate, and Amaliya Putri delivered material on the Science & Technology Pillar regarding the Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres). The event was guided by Maria Ghorisatur Rosyidah.

This activity was conducted interactively with high enthusiasm from the 2025 Communication Science new students. The participants not only received material but also had the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with the speakers about the importance of research and its application in the academic world.

The Research and Achievement Department of HMPS Communication Science UNDIP hopes that through Research School, new students can foster interest in the field of research and academic development. In addition, this activity is also expected to be a concrete step in supporting the achievement of Diponegoro University’s vision, namely “Diponegoro University Becoming an Excellent Research University”.***
