Participant Quote 1: Jules, from France
“I just arrived at the event and tasted the food—it was really good! I also tried lato-lato, which was fun. The food wasn’t too spicy for me, although I didn’t try some of the dishes since I’m vegetarian. But overall, it was delicious!”
Participant Quote 2: Manohar, from India
“The food was great, and the sambal reminded me of Indian cuisine with its spiciness. I especially enjoyed the spoon and marble game—it was tricky but really fun. The fashion show was also a highlight for me. It was fascinating to see the different fabrics and colors representing various regions of Indonesia. It really gave me insight into the diversity of Indonesian culture.”
Expected Outcomes
The event is expected to enhance the cultural understanding of Indonesian traditions among participants, promote cross-cultural collaboration, and provide a memorable experience for all attendees. It is also hoped that through the exhibition, international students and local residents will be inspired to engage further with Indonesia’s unique cultural landscape. According to Nurlita Wahyu Aziza, Culturizz of Indonesia’ staff, “through this event we also try to connect with the locals and international students, inviting them to participate in this event and learn about Indonesia wearing our cultural attire”.
