The delegation from the Communication Science Student Association (HMPS Ilmu Komunikasi) of Universitas Diponegoro arrived at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) at 11:34 AM Western Indonesia Time (WIB). Upon arrival, the participants were warmly welcomed by the committee from the Social Sciences Student Association (HIMASOS UNS) and directed to the gathering point on campus. Before entering the main hall, all participants first received refreshments to replenish their energy before the series of events commenced. Subsequently, participants were guided to the event hall and seated in the provided areas.
As the event took place on a Friday, an ISHOMA session (Istirahat, Sholat, Makan: Rest, Prayer, Meal) was held before the main agenda began. Male Muslim participants performed the Friday prayers, while female Muslim participants performed the Dhuhr prayers. This ISHOMA session provided ample time for participants to rest, pray, and have a meal to prepare for the core activities.
Following ISHOMA, participants reconvened in the event hall. The official proceedings were opened by the Masters of Ceremony (MCs) from both organizations, HIMASOS UNS and HMPS Ilkom Undip. The opening was followed by a tribute to the attending representatives, including the Head of the 2025 Comparative Study Committee, the Chairperson of HIMASOS UNS, and the Chairperson of HMPS Ilkom Undip. The MCs read the comparative study agenda and invited participants to pray together according to their respective religions and beliefs. Next, all participants sang the Indonesian national anthem, “Indonesia Raya,” the “Mars Totalitas Perjuangan,” and the “Mars Undip” as a gesture of respect for their respective institutions.
A series of addresses commenced, starting from the Head of the 2025 Comparative Study Committee from HMPS Ilkom Undip, followed by the Chairperson of HIMASOS UNS, and concluding with an address from the Chairperson of HMPS Ilkom Undip. These three speeches provided an introduction to the event’s objectives and expressed hopes for fostering good relations and a learning space between the two organizations.

The presentation also included an introduction of each department along with their respective work programs. Similarly, each department stood and greeted the participants directly when introduced.

The FGD was conducted in an open and cordial atmosphere, where each field exchanged experiences regarding work procedures, organizational culture, common challenges, and strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of work programs.
After the discussion session concluded, the activities continued with an ice-breaking session featuring games aimed at lightening the mood and strengthening interaction among participants. The game played involved guessing the names of singers, actors, and political figures based on combinations of displayed emojis. Participants were divided into groups and competed to answer quickly and correctly. The atmosphere was exciting, lively, and filled with laughter. The games session concluded with the presentation of prizes—snack necklaces—to the winners who correctly guessed the answers and accumulated the most points.
