Semarang – The Department of Communication Science Student Association (HMD), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, is holding an annual democratic party in the form of the 2020 elections on Wednesday (23/12). The agenda which signifies the warmth of the democratic climate in the Communication Science department was carried out using e-voting through the Undip kulon page.

The democratic party produced a new chairman for HMD Communication Science 2021, Azka Tsania Yahdini. The student of Communication Science class 2018 won a landslide victory with 298 votes against the empty box which only received 35 votes. She has a big desire to strengthen the relationship of all Communication Science students as the first step in his management.

“So the first and main step I want to do tomorrow is to strengthen communication and also good relations with my friends in Communication Sciences, not only among the administrators but all Communication Science students as members,” she explained.

Regarding lectures and other student activities carried out online, the new chairman who replaced Raihan Triaffandra’s chair also wants to maximize online media, especially social media, to provide an inclusive image with Communication Science students.

“Here I want to maximize online media, especially social media, to be able to interact and communicate with friends in Communication Sciences actively. I want the HMD Communication Science to have an image that is inclusive and is close to all Communication Science students,” she added.

Azka hopes that the Department of Communication Science will be more advanced and also able to compete with other study programs from Undip and other universities.

“My hope for Communication Science in the future, I want Communication Science to be a more advanced and innovative department to be able to bring students and lecturers to the gates of success and be able to compete with other majors from other universities as well,” said Azka.

However, the elected Chair of the 2021 HMD Communication Science hopes that the elements of Communication Science will make a big contribution to maintain collaboration and continue to contribute to the department to realize the expectations it brings.

“Without a close relationship between us and also collaboration, this hope will be difficult to realize. My message is to my Communication Science friends, we all have to remember the place where we learn and process together, wherever you go, don’t ever forget that we are part of the FISIP Undip Social Education family whose contribution will be eagerly awaited in the future, ” she lid.
